Staff and location are good, I liked the relaxing atmosphere. Pleasant staff are especially the receptionists who have a lot to put up with because of the parking.

Really enjoyed the place, had a lovely stay in the royal hotel. The room was very nice, lovely bed. The breakfast spread was reasonable, with lots of outstanding options. The location of the property was perfect - a 10-15 minute walk from Captain Cook Memorial Museum Whitby.

Pretty standard hotel, beautiful views and location is beautiful near the harbour and all the shops and restaurants. Attentive staff especially the receptionists who have a lot to put up with because of the parking and excellent Wi-Fi.

Optimal location, BEST staff, beds were comfy. Cool enough room, brand new bathroom. Great service during my fine stay. Plus their wifi was stable. Effective hotel centrally located in the city. Appreciated that the beach bar was working.

Fairly clean and incredibly friendly accom with unbeatable location so close to all the shops and restaurants, the bay overlooking the beach and the bay and the centre. We both loved the food, it was great and had a great selection of options.

The check-in was smooth, we appreciated tapas bar. Luxury hotel, had a really perfect service. There were free internet and paid parking available. Great stay in this industrialised area. 10 minutes' by foot to train station.
A bit small bathroom, and the breakfast was not good.
